Who asks for a certified Emirates ID copy
Your Emirates ID is the primary proof of identity and residence in the UAE, so institutions that cannot keep your original card ask for a notarized copy instead. A certified copy confirms the copy matches the original exactly, which a plain photocopy cannot do.
