Certified True Copy

Certified True Copy in Dubai

تصديق النسخة المطابقة للأصل في دبي

A certified true copy is a photocopy of your original document that a notary stamps and signs, confirming it matches the original exactly. Banks, embassies, universities and government departments in the UAE and abroad regularly ask for one. We verify your original, certify the copy, and you leave with a document that is accepted in place of the original.

What a certified true copy is

Authorities often need your document but you cannot hand over the original — a passport, a degree, a certificate. A certified true copy solves this: the notary compares the copy against the original page by page, then stamps and signs it as a true and complete reproduction.

Because the certification is done by a licensed notary, the copy carries official weight and is accepted by most institutions in the UAE and, with attestation where required, abroad.

Documents we commonly certify

  • Passports and Emirates IDs
  • Birth, marriage and divorce certificates
  • Degrees, diplomas, transcripts and professional certificates
  • Trade licences and commercial registration documents
  • Bank statements and reference letters
  • Contracts, agreements and powers of attorney
  • Property documents and title deeds
  • Utility bills and tenancy contracts for proof of address

What to bring

The single most important rule: you must bring the original document. The notary cannot certify a copy of a copy, a scan or a photo — the original must be physically presented and compared.

Bring your own identification as well, and check with the requesting authority whether they need any additional attestation on top of the notary certification, especially for documents being sent outside the UAE.

How it works

Message us on WhatsApp with the document type and the authority requesting it. We confirm what is needed and the fee. Visit the office with the original document and your ID, and the certified copy is issued on the spot in most cases.

Frequently asked questions

No. The notary must see the original and compare it with the copy. A scan, photo or an earlier copy cannot be certified.

In most cases yes. Some countries or institutions ask for further attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or an embassy — tell us where the document is going and we confirm the exact requirement.

As many as you need. Each certified copy is stamped and signed individually, and clients often take several for different banks or authorities.

For standard documents the certification is completed during the same visit, usually within minutes.

The fee depends on the document type and the number of copies. Message us on WhatsApp with the document and we confirm the exact fee before you come in.
